14.  Import/Export Group Data from CSV Files

As a system administrator, you can import or export group data via CSV (comma separated value) file.

  1. To Import:

    Click Admin Tools > Users and Groups > Groups > Import.

    If you are not already logged in as Admin, enter your admin password when prompted.

    The Import Groups From CSV File window appears.

    Click Browse to find the CSV file to import.

    The CSV File should contain information in the following order:

    • Group ID Name Pronunciation E-mail URL Contact Fax
    • Name
    • Email
    • URL
    • Contact
    • Fax

    Notes:

    • For more details about the above fields, see Add/Edit/Delete Groups.
    • If the Group ID already exists, that group will be updated according to the data in the CSV File (otherwise a new group will be created).
    • To create a new group you may leave the Group ID Field Blank.

    Under Headers, click the checkbox if the CSV file has a top line of headers that should be ignored.

    Click Next.

    The Preview screen appears.

    Click Import Group Data.

  2. To Export:

    Click Admin Tools > Users and Groups > Groups > Export.

    If you are not already logged in as Admin, enter your admin password when prompted.

    The Export Groups From CSV File window appears.

    Under Headers, click the check box to export headers in the top line of the file.

    Click Next.

    The Preview screen appears.

    Click Export Group Information.
